At the heart of my work is the question of how color, material, and movement can evoke sensations without dictating a clear narrative. My paintings draw on impressions from nature and landscape, light moods, floral forms, and personal memories. While painting, they distance themselves from their starting point and develop their own abstract visual language.

My family connections to the Philippines are part of my biography and influence my perception of color, nature, and cultural belonging. At the same time, my works arise from many other experiences, travels, and observations.
